Taschen's New York

In July, a new book came out about New York and I love it. Taschen's New York is a fun, modern, coffee table travel book. The cover of the book is pink (!) with artful illustrations.

It would look wonderful sitting on any coffee table. This book is not for the first time visitor. After you have been to the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and all the other touristy places, this book lets you know where to go! It includes Katz Deli, The Bowery Hotel, and where to buy vintage clothes. Just like the under title 'Hotels, Restaurants & Shops'. This book is too big to take with your when you jaunt off to NYC, but it has a great little pull out travel map with everything you need to know. Angelika Taschen has also written Taschen's Paris. Coming out next year is Taschen's London. About the author: Angelika Taschen studied art history and German literature in Heidelberg, gaining her doctorate in 1986.
